Following an eight month community writing journey, a group of committed women birthed, Yetunde anthology of short stories, art and poems that reflect and witness the lives of women who embody the myths, the wisdom and ancestral technologies to move in the beloved tradition of remembering and dreaming in speculative , futuristic and yet defined fiction. Machetes Are Forged in Soft Rivers (2021) is a series of short fiction stories rooted in historical record and oral histories from across the African diaspora. Blending archival research with ancestral memory, the collection explores how resistance is shaped in unexpected places—through tenderness, ritual, kinship, and survival.

The LO/URE Workbook is a guided archival companion rooted in oral history, collective memory, and embodied inquiry. Through structured prompts and ritual frameworks, it treats storytelling as witness — not extraction.

Grounded in womanist methodology and ancestral technologies, it invites participants to archive what history refused to hold and return it to community whole.
